PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ned Bigsbee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Awesome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bigsbee comes to the cage accompanied by Gin & Juice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Awesome closes the distance and clinches.

Awesome's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bigsbee misses with a right hand
and Awesome counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bigsbee misses with a wild body shot.
Awesome slips under a jab.
Bigsbee walks into a straight right hand from Awesome.

Bigsbee throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Awesome was covering up waiting for the punch and Bigsbee finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Awesome wants to sweep here but Bigsbee controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bigsbee controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Awesome has his hands on Bigsbee's head, controlling the position.

Awesome wants to get back to his feet but Bigsbee is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Bigsbee throws an elbow that misses. Awesome uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bigsbee's guard. Nice move by Awesome!

We've been hearing good reports from Bigsbee's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

A nice side step and Awesome releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Awesome is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Bigsbee dives into side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Awesome closes the distance and clinches.
Awesome gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bigsbee.
Bigsbee's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Awesome tries to close the distance and clinch but Bigsbee swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bigsbee.
A punch lands to the side of Bigsbee 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Awesome lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Bigsbee head around and knocks him out cold! Awesome hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
