Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Baki Hanma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baal Thackeray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baal Thackeray has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baki Hanma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baal Thackeray!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Thackeray.
Hanma on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Thackeray lands a nice hook to Hanma's body. Hanma takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Hanma throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Thackeray was covering up waiting for the punch and Hanma finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Thackeray controls Hanma momentarily but Hanma frees himself.

Thackeray might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hanma haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Hanma is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Thackeray really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hanma. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Thackeray is trying to control the position but Hanma postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hanma accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hanma drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hanma jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Thackeray controls Hanma momentarily but Hanma frees himself.

Hanma wants to control from the top but Thackeray keeps moving.

Hanma lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Hanma could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hanma is looking to work some ground and pound but Thackeray has wrist control.
Thackeray controls Hanma momentarily but Hanma frees himself.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Thackeray is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Hanma drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Hanma as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Thackeray screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Hanma! Nice submission victory there!
