The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kontos avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Walters could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Walters has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Kontos lands with a light punch inside.


It looks like Wesley Walters has been cut.

Walters is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kontos asserts his dominance and retains side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kontos darts in and clinches Walters up against the cage.

Kontos has Walters pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Walters manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Kontos has Walters pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kontos pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Walters tumbling to the mat - Kontos dives into Walters's guard.
Walters is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kontos dives into side control.

Walters throws a nice looking combination but Kontos bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kontos tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Kontos darts in and clinches Walters up against the cage.

Kontos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

so Kontos counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Walters wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kontos manages to pass to side control.

Walters tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Kontos manages to move to mount!

Kontos lands with some strikes.
Kontos is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Kontos takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Walters is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Kontos presses Walters against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Kontos lands a big right hand that drops Walters! The killer instinct kicks in and Kontos finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Kontos!
