Fernandes has chosen Gimmie Shelter as his entrance music. Bibano Fernandes looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fernandes is trying to drag Wang to the mat but Wang just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Fernandes had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wang is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Fernandes Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wang's back instead.
Fernandes is trying to stick to Wang's back but Wang is turning into Fernandes. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Fernandes's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Wang.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wang is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
