The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hendry closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hendry advances to full mount.
hard is trying to reverse the position but instead Hendry has taken his back - oops!

hard manages to reverse the position and now he's in Hendry's guard. Nice work there by hard .
hard loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hendry is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
hard gets full guard.
Hendry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. hard swivels though and keeps the full guard.

hard looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hendry won't allow hard to sweep him here.

hard had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hendry is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. hard Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hendry's back instead.

hard jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hendry manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

hard goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Hendry is on top in guard.
hard will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Hendry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with hard . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
