Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andy Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andy Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Davidson!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane misses with a body shot.
Kane connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Davidson connects with a knee to the head.
Davidson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kane just stands there and leans against the cage.
Kane throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Davidson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kane regains guard immediately.
Davidson wants to pass the guard but Kane is keeping the position.
Kane wants to control the position but Davidson says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Kane is trying to stand.
Kane is looking to improve his position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davidson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kane's head.
Davidson is looking to take a break and control but Kane is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Kane tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Davidson swivels and escapes.
Kane shoots in for a double leg but Davidson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kane throws a series of punches but Davidson avoids them all with ease.
Kane is breathing heavily.
Kane lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Davidson circles away quickly and effectively.

Davidson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Davidson goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Kane keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Davidson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kane.
Some bone on bone action there as Davidson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kane fails to land with a series of punches.

Davidson prevents Kane from getting back to his feet.
Kane tries to strike from the bottom.
Kane is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Davidson is controlling him.

Davidson gets to his feet. Kane looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Kane keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Andy Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Davidson.
Davidson doesn't manage to clinch there - Kane circles away.
Davidson just misses with a punch to the body.
Kane lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Davidson at a distance.
Kane tries to close the distance and clinch up but Davidson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kane lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Davidson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Davidson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Kane clobbers Davidson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Kane shoots and misses
and Davidson counters with a three punch combo that has Kane backing up. Kane nods at Davidson to acknowledge the strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Davidson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kane as he jumps to the side.

and Davidson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Davidson won't allow Kane to get back to his feet.

Kane is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Davidson throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Kane.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kane looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kane throws a combination that misses

and Davidson counters with a takedown into side control.

Kane pushes Davidson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Davidson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kane looks to move to half guard but instead Davidson has passed into mount! Damn!

Kane tries to roll over but Davidson keeps him under control.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Davidson in particular looking to stall.
Kane tries to kick Davidson off but Davidson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Kane is trying to maintain the position but Davidson is very close to passing his half guard.
Kane wants to get back to full guard but Davidson has mounted him!
Kane is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kane throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Kane really wants to buck Davidson off and get back to his feet.
Kane is trying to escape the mount.
Davidson tries to control but Kane wriggling away.
Kane slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Davidson is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Kane has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kane gets full guard.

Kane trying to control the position.
Kane wants to stand up but Davidson is controlling him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Davidson slips nicely into half guard.
Kane is looking to improve his position.
Kane throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kane doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Davidson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Davidson.
Kane is trying to control the position but Davidson postures up.
Kane is striking off his back. Davidson thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Kane is looking for a sweep. Davidson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Davidson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Kane misses with a leg kick

and Davidson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Kane is trying to stand back up but Davidson is controlling him
Jason Davidson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Davidson passes to full mount!

Kane tries to lock up and control but Davidson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kane is trying desperately to improve position.

Davidson tries to control but Kane wriggling away.
Kane is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Kane swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Kane is desperately trying to improve his position but Davidson has a good base and remains in mount.
Kane is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Davidson has control of Kane's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kane regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kane is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Kane is looking to get to half guard.
Davidson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kane's face.
Davidson tries to control but Kane wriggling away.
Kane wants to try and get back to his feet.

Davidson trying to control but Kane is having none of it.
Kane can't escape the position.
Jason Davidson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Davidson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kane is desperately trying to improve his position but Davidson has a good base and remains in mount.
Davidson looking to control but Kane is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kane swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Kane is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Davidson controlling the position easily from mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jason Davidson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Davidson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
