The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pappalardo lands the left hand.

It looks like Do Hoo Jung has been cut.
Pappalardo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jung's head backwards.
Pappalardo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Jung doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Pappalardo counters with a nice uppercut.

Pappalardo closes the distance and pushes Jung back into the cage.
Pappalardo tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Jung trying to control the position but instead, Pappalardo has worked for underhooks and has pushed Jung into the cage.
Pappalardo throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jungs head.
Pappalardo swings wildly with an uppercut but Jung uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pappalardo softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Jung is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Pappalardo to keep the fight standing.
Jung jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pappalardo walks away with a smile on his face. Jung gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've been hearing reports that Jung has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Do Hoo Jung. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A jab lands there for Pappalardo.

Jung is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pappalardo stuffs the takedown.
Oh Jung is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jung tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pappalardo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jung somewhat.
Pappalardo closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Jung out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Derek Pappalardo decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
