The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Ghul tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Trigg scores with a head kick. Al Ghul tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Ra S Al Ghul has been cut.
JT Trigg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Trigg throws out a leg kick but Al Ghul moves out of range and Trigg only half commits.

Trigg connects with a leg kick. Al Ghul looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Al Ghul tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Trigg was well out of range. Poor timing from Al Ghul.

Trigg throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Al Ghul stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Trigg uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Trigg turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Al Ghul's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Al Ghul uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Trigg.

Trigg ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Trigg throws a shot from downtown. Al Ghul moves away and avoids it.
Al Ghul throws out a counter right but Trigg avoids it with no problem.
Al Ghul takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Trigg takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Al Ghul takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Ra S Al Ghul's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Trigg thows a body kick. Al Ghul tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Al Ghul cracks a nice hook into Trigg's ribs.
Trigg lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
