Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Otavio Ikuhisa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Tsuper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kris Tsuper has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Otavio Ikuhisa's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Otavio Ikuhisa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kris Tsuper!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ikuhisa rushes Tsuper and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Tsuper on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Ikuhisa tries to pull guard but Tsuper won't allow it.

Tsuper has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ikuhisa uses from the top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tsuper is looking to stand up but Ikuhisa isn't so interested in that idea.

Tsuper escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ikuhisa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ikuhisa has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Ikuhisa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Ikuhisa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Ikuhisa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A jab lands there for Tsuper.

Tsuper is looking to clinch but Ikuhisa is avoiding it.
Tsuper misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ikuhisa throws a head kick that misses.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ikuhisa clinches up with Tsuper and pushes him back against the cage.
Tsuper lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ikuhisa backwards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kris Tsuper will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Ikuhisa tries to keep at a distance but Tsuper has taken the fight into the clinch.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ikuhisa lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tsuper has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tsuper and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Tsuper decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ikuhisa is positioning himself well to prevent Tsuper advancing to mount.
Ikuhisa wants to control but Tsuper is keeping busy.
Tsuper thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ikuhisa's head.

Tsuper throws an elbow that misses. Ikuhisa uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tsuper's guard. Nice move by Ikuhisa!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Tsuper shoots in but no luck this time.
Ikuhisa throws a big counter combination but Tsuper scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Tsuper tightens his grip and picks Ikuhisa up, before dumping him to the ground. Ikuhisa manages to land in guard.
Tsuper postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ikuhisa pulls Tsuper in to control the position.
Tsuper must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ikuhisa connects with a nice short shot to Tsuper's temple.
Ikuhisa wants to take a breather but Tsuper is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kris Tsuper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ikuhisa swats away the attempt to clinch by Tsuper.
Tsuper goes for a double leg but Ikuhisa avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ikuhisa continues to drive forward.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ikuhisa.

I would just about give that final round to Kris Tsuper.
I've got Tsuper winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
