Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bob Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson jabs Tsunami to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Tsunami clinches.

Tsunami works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Tsunami stands up and waves to Johnson to follow him.

Tsunami gets a double leg takedown into Johnson's guard.

Tsunami stands and steps away. Johnson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Tsunami takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Johnson digs a good body shot into Tsunami's ribs.

Johnson misses with a series of wild punches.
Tsunami lands with a slapping head kick.
Johnson cracks a nice hook into Tsunami's ribs.
Johnson lands a jab-cross combination.

Tsunami moves into the clinch.
Tsunami lands an elbow inside that Johnson shrugs off.
Johnson takes an elbow to the temple.
Johnson is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Tsunami lands a good knee to the midsection. Johnson won't want to take too many of those.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tsunami has hold of one of Johnson's legs. Johnson is fighting the takedown attempt but Tsunami gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Tsunami decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Tsunami closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Johnson quickly recovers to half guard.

Tsunami decides to stand and escape the position.
Johnson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Tsunami decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnson's guard.
Johnson controls Tsunami momentarily but Tsunami frees himself.

Tsunami stands and steps away. Johnson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

so Tsunami counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tsunami throws a big counter combination but Johnson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tsunami clinches with his opponent.
Tsunami putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Johnson in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Tsunami lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Tsunami stands up and beckons Johnson to join him on the feet.
Johnson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Johnny Tsunami is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tsunami buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Tsunami clinches with his opponent.
A battle for position here, against the cage.

Tsunami has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Johnson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Johnson looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

What's going on here? Tsunami has decided to give up on the ground game despite having his opponent's back!

A left and a right from Johnson both land. Nice combination.
Johnson scores with a jab.

Tsunami fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnson, pushing him back against the cage.

Tsunami escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tsunami gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Johnson regains guard.
Johnny Tsunami overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Johnson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Johnson tries to strike from the bottom.
Johnson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Tsunami gets to his feet - Johnson follows without any prompting.

Tsunami moves into range and clinches up with Johnson.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Tsunami drags the fight down to the ground.
Tsunami wants to stand but Johnson is controlling the position.
Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tsunami is keeping the position for now.
Johnson won't allow Tsunami to get back to his feet.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Tsunami manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Tsunami moves into the clinch.
Johnson misses with a hook to the ribs.

Tsunami breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Johnson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Tsunami looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Johnson!
Johnson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Tsunami's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson is looking for a sweep. Tsunami is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson wants to control but Tsunami is keeping busy.

Tsunami stands up and beckons Johnson to join him on the feet.
Tsunami takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Johnson lands with a big left! Tsunami is wobbled badly! Johnson comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Tsunami to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Bob Johnson!
