Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Sixx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sixx comes to the cage accompanied by Kickstart My Heart - Motley Crue. McCarthy has chosen Chamillionaire - Ridin' ft. Krayzie Bone as his entrance music. McCarthy has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sixx looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

McCarthy makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
McCarthy looks winded!
Sixx fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
McCarthy throws a head kick that misses.
McCarthy tries to land a front kick but Sixx steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Nice sprawl there from McCarthy as Sixx shoots in.
McCarthy unleashes a big counter combination but Sixx bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Sixx closes the distance and clinches up with McCarthy, looking for a takedown. Sixx pushes McCarthy against the cage but McCarthy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Sixx . That's going to take a lot out of him.
McCarthy misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sixx attempts a counter takedown but McCarthy avoids it well and moves away.
Sixx tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McCarthy swivels and escapes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McCarthy stuffs the takedown.

A momentary lapse in concentration from McCarthy enables Sixx to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McCarthy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

McCarthy is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Sixx frees his head nicely. Oh but McCarthy has switched to an armbar! Sixx is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
