The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Imperial's waist but Imperial gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.

Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Imperial sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Imperial wants to counter with a clinch but Jones pushes him away.

and Jones counters with a series of strikes. Imperial will be more careful next time no doubt.

Imperial is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jones is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Imperial to the mat. Imperial regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
