Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kirby Robbins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Furball (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kirby Robbins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fred Furball!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Robbins clinches with his opponent.

Furball is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Furball is looking to take a break and control but Robbins is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Furball wants to work for an arm triangle but Robbins is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Furball winds up and cracks Robbins with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Furball wants to lay and pray for a moment but Robbins keeps working.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Furball is trying to control the action in half guard but Robbins is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Robbins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Furball's guard.

Robbins not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Furball is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Robbins wants to get back to full guard but Furball has mounted him!

Furball moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Robbins has worked his arm free - good work by Robbins!

Robbins tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Furball goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Robbins has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Furball but great work by Robbins.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Furball pushes Robbins off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Robbins shoots in for a double leg but Furball sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Furball tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Robbins defends well and Furball ends up having to push Robbins into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Furball gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Furball seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Robbins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Furball has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Robbins jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Furball walks away with a smile on his face. Robbins gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Furball shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Robbins sprawls well. Robbins wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Furball gets slowly back to his feet.

Furball postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Robbins is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Furball, into his guard.

Fred Furball is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Horrible takedown attempt by Furball or perhaps it was just good defense by Robbins, which made it look bad.
