The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargas shoots and misses
and Nurmagomedov counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Vargas is looking to control Nurmagomedov's arms but Nurmagomedov gets an underhook and turns him. Now Vargas has his back to the cage.
Vargas misses with a short punch on the inside.
Vargas drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nurmagomedov pulls his leg out and moves away.
Vargas tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Nurmagomedov counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Thiago Vargas has been cut.
Vargas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Nurmagomedov counters with a crisp right hand that drops Vargas! Nurmagomedov lets Vargas back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Vargas closes the distance but Nurmagomedov moves to the side
and Nurmagomedov counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Vargas wants to clinch but Nurmagomedov slips to the side
and Nurmagomedov counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
