Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elijah McKnight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mickey Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Elijah McKnight!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McKnight fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Evans to the ground. McKnight is now in Evans's guard.
Evans lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

McKnight is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

McKnight is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

McKnight is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Evans is aware though and is defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

McKnight is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Evans is aware though and is defending well.
Evans throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McKnight works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Evans closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
McKnight is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Evans is taking a breather. McKnight says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Evans seems to be working for a kimura but McKnight defends the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McKnight wants to get back to full guard.

Evans seems to be looking for submissions.
Evans is taking a breather. McKnight says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
McKnight controlling the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Evans seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
McKnight pivots, looking for a leg kick but Evans is out of range and McKnight settles back down.
Elijah McKnight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McKnight gets a takedown into half guard.

McKnight working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Evans will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Elijah McKnight comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got McKnight winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
