The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Garvin.
Garvin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Silva scores with a nice head shot.
Oscar Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Garvin is looking to score with low kicks.
Garvin throws the left hand but Silva avoids the punch easily.
Silva throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Paul Garvin has been cut.

Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Garvin on the ground.
Silva wants to control for a moment but Garvin uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Garvin thows a huge punch but Silva dodges it nicely.

Silva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Garvin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Silva wants to control but Garvin is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garvin wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely.
