Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Belnick Kicker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlo Gonzaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzaga is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hit me Baby 1 more time = Britney Spears. Belnick Kicker had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gonzaga drives through and clinches with Kicker against the cage.

Gonzaga is trying to stick to Kicker's back but Kicker is turning into Gonzaga. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Gonzaga's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kicker.

Kicker is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gonzaga is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gonzaga has escaped and now he's on top!
Gonzaga distracts Kicker with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Kicker had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gonzaga is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kicker Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gonzaga's back instead.
Kicker is breathing heavily.

Kicker is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Kicker tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gonzaga smiles and moves away.

Gonzaga looks to land a combination. Kicker sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Gonzaga pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gonzaga throws a nice looking combination but Kicker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gonzaga lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Gonzaga closes the distance and clinches.

Gonzaga breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Good leg kick by Gonzaga there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Kicker is pressed up against the cage. Gonzaga has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kicker down to the mat. Kicker avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kicker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gonzaga tries to avoid it but Kicker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gonzaga to the ground. Gonzaga escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kicker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gonzaga can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gonzaga wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kicker keeps working.
