Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brant Mcmahon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brant Mcmahon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Jones!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Dean Styles and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcmahon closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage.

Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Michael Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones lands with a slapping head kick.


It looks like Brant Mcmahon has been cut.

Mcmahon scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Let's hope that Jones has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Jones wants to stand up but Mcmahon is controlling the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Jones pushes Mcmahon up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones tries to throw a body punch but Mcmahon avoids it by throwing Jones back against the cage.
Jones looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Jones lands an elbow inside that Mcmahon shrugs off.

Mcmahon successfully pulls guard.

Jones gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Mcmahon moves into the clinch successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jones wants to take the fight to the mat but Mcmahon manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Jones looking to throw knees to the head but Mcmahon is blocking nicely.
Jones lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Mcmahon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Jones fails in his attempt to clinch.
A counter left hand to the body from Mcmahon misses its target.

Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jones stalling.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mcmahon trying to hold on to Jones's head to control him but Jones postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Jones drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Jones controls from within his opponent's guard.
Michael Jones has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jones sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mcmahon's guard.
Jones controlling the pace.
Mcmahon keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Jones is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Jones.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Mcmahon moves out of range of the strikes.
Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jones is looking to clinch.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Jones.

Mcmahon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jones tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mcmahon is in Jones's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Jones closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mcmahon quickly recovers to half guard.
Jones content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Jones prevents Mcmahon from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Jones misses with a wild combination.
As Jones looks to move away, Mcmahon throws a big counter combo but Jones just gets out of the way.

Jones gets the takedown into side control.
Jones moves into full mount!
Jones controlling from the full mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yet more stalling tactics from Jones.

Mcmahon defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jones.

Jones prevents Mcmahon from getting the reversal.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Jones. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
More stalling from Jones.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jones is continuing to stall.

The adventures of Jones the control monster continue. Boring.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Mcmahon is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount.

Michael Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
