Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ahlberg gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ahlberg is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Hardcore gets to his feet. Ahlberg looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ahlberg!
Ahlberg looks to land a combination but Hardcore avoids it well.
Ahlberg throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hardcore throws a right and a left that Ahlberg avoids nicely.
Ahlberg scores with a one two! Hardcore had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Hardcore clinches up against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Hardcore.
Ahlberg jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hardcore walks away with a smile on his face. Ahlberg gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Hardcore gets a clinch.
Hardcore lands a left hand.
Hardcore lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ahlberg or not.
Ahlberg is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hardcore lands a hook to the side of the head.
Hardcore is working Ahlberg over against the cage.
Hardcore scores with a knee to the head.
Ahlberg letting Hardcore take a breather here.
Hardcore creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Ahlberg's defenses.

It looks like Bruno Valfrid Ahlberg has been cut.

Hardcore has clasped his hands together around Ahlberg's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Hardcore connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Ahlberg some visible discomfort.

Hardcore decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ahlberg to his feet.
Oh Ahlberg is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hardcore clinches up against the cage.
Hardcore lands a big knee to the head and Ahlberg goes down! Hardcore pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
