The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jerkwater throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jerkwater moves into the clinch.
Jerkwater is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Vlad gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Jerkwater drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vlad gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jerkwater decides to pull guard.
Jerkwater looking for a guillotine here but Vlad defends easily.
Vlad stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jerkwater swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vlad is working hard here to advance position.
Jerkwater had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Vlad is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jerkwater Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Vlad's back instead.
Vlad rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Vlad gets full guard.
Vlad escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jerkwater gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Vlad has his feet on Jerkwater's thighs here. He's pushed Jerkwater off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Jerkwater screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Chwytny Vlad!
