Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michio Kaku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kaku might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to We will rock you. Xavier Tyson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kaku.
Tyson jabs Kaku right on the nose. Kaku blinks but takes it well.
Kaku takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Michio Kaku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tyson just misses with a punch to the body.
Kaku with a lazy takedown attempt
letting Tyson counter with a right hand.
Tyson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kaku circles away quickly and effectively.
Tyson throws a right and a left that Kaku avoids nicely.
Kaku definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kaku clinches up with Tyson and pushes him back against the cage.
Tyson lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Kaku.

Kaku bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kaku moves into the clinch.
Tyson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kaku shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tyson as he jumps to the side.
Kaku feints and as Tyson raises his hands in defense, Kaku changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kaku is stalling in the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kaku wants to pass the guard but Tyson is keeping the position.

Kaku distracts Tyson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
