Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Martin York!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Malthe Poulsen!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Poulsen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
York is looking to take this one to the mat.
York tries to pull guard but Poulsen holds him up against the cage and eventually York drops back down to his feet.
York is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Poulsen is keeping busy.

Poulsen has York pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Poulsen pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending York tumbling to the mat - Poulsen dives into York's guard.
York is looking to stand back up but Poulsen counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by York.
York might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Poulsen shoots in looking for a takedown but York manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Poulsen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Poulsen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with York but York pushes him off and we're back to square one.
York seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Poulsen drives through and clinches with York against the cage.
York jumps guard but Poulsen turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

York goes for a double leg but Poulsen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Poulsen continues to drive forward.
Poulsen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

York gets tackled into the cage by Poulsen. Poulsen maintains the clinch.

York throws an elbow that misses.
Poulsen is looking for a takedown up against the cage. York gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
York is looking to take this one to the mat.

York tries to score a body lock takedown but Poulsen shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
York jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Poulsen walks away with a smile on his face. York gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
York is breathing heavily.
York takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Malthe Poulsen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
York stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and York wants it to stay on the feet.
A combination from Poulsen does no damage.
Poulsen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
York wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Poulsen closes the distance and pushes York back into the cage.

York is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

York wants to stand and escape but instead Poulsen has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

York is trying hard to land a takedown here. Poulsen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
York is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Poulsen jumps guard and drags York to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Poulsen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in York's guard.

York wants to hit a switch here but Poulsen passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for York there!

Malthe Poulsen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



York tries to keep at a distance but Poulsen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Poulsen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. York is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Poulsen slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from York.
Poulsen is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for York!

Poulsen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Poulsen closes the distance and clinches up with York, looking for a takedown. Poulsen pushes York against the cage but York circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

York keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Well Poulsen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
