Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seamus O Reilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Spellman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Reilly comes into the arena with Donald Where's Your Trousers by The Irish Rovers blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spellman shoots in but O Reilly avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Spellman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but O Reilly circles away quickly and effectively.
Spellman with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
O Reilly tries a head kick but it misses.
O Reilly could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Spellman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts O Reilly as he jumps to the side.
Spellman shoots for a double leg takedown but O Reilly sprawls well. He's pushed Spellman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

O Reilly drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Spellman dives on top into guard.

O Reilly throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Spellman escapes and throws O Reilly's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Spellman wants to control but O Reilly is keeping him busy.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Spellman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and O Reilly counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Spellman is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Spellman looks to land a combination. O Reilly sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

O Reilly feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

O Reilly drops back, looking for a kneebar! Spellman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Spellman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Spellman!
