Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lucien Paol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paol kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Edith Piaf - La Vie En Rose . Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Paol backs up against the cage.

It looks like Lucien Paol has been cut.
Harris scores with a nice strike.
Harris throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Paol feinted with a counter takedown.

and Harris counters with a three punch combo that has Paol backing up. Paol nods at Harris to acknowledge the strikes.
Paol shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Harris defends it nicely.
We've been hearing reports that Paol has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Paol avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Harris uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Paol has time to react.
Harris lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Paol is aggressively charging in as Harris backs up avoiding any damage. Harris tosses out a jab and Paol runs right into it face first! Paol is out cold! Harris dropped down on all fours and is barking in Paol's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
