The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bance darts in trying to clinch
and Galindo counters with a two punch combo.
Galindo's corner calls for a 1-2. Galindo obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Galindo circles away from the clinch attempt
and Galindo counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bance throws a series of punches but Galindo avoids them all with ease.
Johnny Bance seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bance tries to clinch up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Galindo drops Bance with a beautiful combination! Bance stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Galindo is looking for the KO!

Bance is rocked!

It looks like Johnny Bance has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bance rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Galindo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Galindo scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Oh Bance is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

No luck for Bance with that takedown attempt.
Galindo throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Bance's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Galindo dives in looking to finish as Bance flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Galindo's strikes! Galindo is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Bance's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Bance was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
