These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makaronelli fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Makaronelli misses with a takedown attempt - Lockwood sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Makaronelli misses with a head kick.
Makaronelli tries for a takedown but Lockwood sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dean Lockwood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Enzo Makaronelli.

Lockwood lands a nice hook to Makaronelli's body. Makaronelli takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Lockwood creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
