Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roberto Restrepo!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jonathan Paton and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from White misses.

Restrepo moves into range and clinches up with White.
Restrepo effectively controlling the action here.
White wants to get back to striking at distance but Restrepo won't allow it.

White breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Restrepo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Restrepo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Restrepo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as White throws out the jab.

White rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Restrepo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

White has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
