Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Makisig Tolentino!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pope takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Pope misses with a low kick as Tolentino jumps back.
Tolentino throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pope stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Pope throws a head kick that misses.
No joy there for Tolentino, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pope throws a big counter combination but Tolentino scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Tolentino will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Tolentino counters with a series of strikes. Pope will be more careful next time no doubt.

Pope tries to counter by clinching up but Tolentino breaks away and moves out of range.
Donk. Tolentino catches Pope right on the button with a cross.
Tolentino fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Pope is looking to score with low kicks.
Tolentino scores with a sloppy right hand. Pope should have avoided that one.

Tolentino connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pope's hands.
Tolentino tests Pope's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Tolentino throws out a powerful jab.
Tolentino connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tolentino throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Pope.

and Tolentino counters with a crisp one two that drops Pope! Tolentino thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Pope to his feet! Pope is in big trouble!

Tolentino throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pope stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Tolentino moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Pope! Tolentino continues to tee off on Pope, landing with a left and a right! Tolentino connects with a right hand that leaves Pope sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Tolentino!
