Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Cohen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastian Pocic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jeremy Cohen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sebastian Pocic!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pocic.
Cohen half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Pocic closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cohen circles away.
Pocic misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jeremy Cohen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sebastian Pocic.
Cohen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pocic sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cohen somewhat.
Pocic flicks out a counter leg kick but Cohen steps away.

It looks like Jeremy Cohen has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pocic looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Cohen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pocic is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pocic has escaped and now he's on top!

Pocic is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Cohen is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nice takedown defense from Cohen. No joy for Pocic on that attempt.

Cohen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Pocic is looking to work some ground and pound but Cohen has wrist control.
Pocic must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Pocic throws a strike but Cohen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pocic keeping moving, preventing Cohen from controlling successfully.
Cohen postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Cohen pulls guard successfully.
Cohen wants to stand and escape but Pocic is having none of it.
Pocic slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Cohen controls the position for a moment.
Pocic with the ground and pound but Cohen regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cohen tries to get to full guard but Pocic has control of the leg.

Pocic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cohen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Cohen tries to kick Pocic off but Pocic keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Pocic fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cohen, pushing him back against the cage.
Cohen is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Pocic is defending well.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Pocic tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Cohen avoids it.
Pocic is pushing Cohen up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Pocic tries to score a body lock takedown but Cohen shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Pocic tries to pull guard but Cohen forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Pocic is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Cohen throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Cohen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pocic walks away with a smile on his face. Cohen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Cohen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pocic has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Cohen has Pocic pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pocic manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Sebastian Pocic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Cohen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cohen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cohen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pocic bucks up and tries to throw Cohen off but instead Cohen has got his back!

Jeremy Cohen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sebastian Pocic is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pocic is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jeremy Cohen.
I think Pocic has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
