PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Cejudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artem Muftakhetdinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cejudo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Artem Muftakhetdinov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cejudo throws a big shot that misses.
A head kick by Muftakhetdinov misses
and Cejudo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Muftakhetdinov rushes Cejudo and presses him up against the cage.

Cejudo is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Muftakhetdinov has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Muftakhetdinov!

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Cejudo for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Cejudo gets control of Muftakhetdinov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cejudo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Muftakhetdinov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Muftakhetdinov is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Cejudo has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Muftakhetdinov is looking to defend but Cejudo has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Muftakhetdinov! Cejudo pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Muftakhetdinov taps out and this one is all over!
