PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monte Ball (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Holmes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Relentless by New Years Day. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ball finds it's way round the side to connect with Holmes's head.
Ball scores with a hook to the body. Holmes takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Ball defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Holmes.
Holmes tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Ball is able to avoid easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ball! But no joy.
Ball scores with a nice head shot.
Ball fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Holmes circles away from the clinch attempt.
No luck for Holmes with that takedown attempt.
Ball looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Ball lands a jab to Holmes's midsection.
Ball lands a body shot.
Holmes is breathing heavily.
Holmes tries to clinch up but Ball circles away and keeps his distance.
Ball connects with a jab.

Holmes is rocked!

Ball lands with a good body shot.
Ball punishes Holmes's body with a nice straight punch.
Holmes seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Ball shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Holmes is backing up but Ball catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Holmes covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Ball Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
