The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Reed throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Jamal Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reed throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Freeman sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Freeman scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reed is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Freeman.
Freeman moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Reed goes down! Can Freeman finish him!?

Freeman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Reed's guard.

Freeman stops Reed from getting back to his feet.
Reed is breathing heavily.
Freeman tries to stand but can't do so whilst Reed controls his leg.
Reed is staying active underneath Freeman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Freeman connects with the punch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A lazy left from Freeman finds it's target.
Reed doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Freeman counters with a series of strikes. Reed will be more careful next time no doubt.
Freeman scores with a nice right hand.

Freeman scores with a crisp jab that stopped Reed in his tracks.
A big left from Reed misses.
The crowd cheers as Freeman lands an impressive looking overhand right. Reed doesn't seem phased though.

Reed misses with a few strikes there.
Reed tries for a takedown but Freeman circles away easily
and Freeman counters with a left right combination that sends Reed crashing to the mat - Freeman wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Reed out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
