PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Knight Dragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wilboogie Bur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Knight Dragon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wilboogie Bur!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dragon shoots in for a takedown but Bur shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Dragon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bur looks for a takedown but Dragon sprawls well.
Dragon tries to clinch there but Bur circles away.
Bur fails with a takedown attempt.
Dragon seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Bur fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dragon to the ground. Bur is now in Dragon's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bur trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Dragon definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Dragon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bur on the ground.

Bur drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bur jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bur stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Dragon instigates a clinch.

Dragon manages to break the clinch.
Bur fails with the takedown.
Dragon was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Knight Dragon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wilboogie Bur.
Dragon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dragon shoots in and drives through. Bur sprawls well.
And Bur tries to counter it with a takedown but Dragon pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Dragon throws a low kick, looking for Bur's leg but Bur calmly moves out of range.
Bur shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dragon but Dragon pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Bur connects with a jab.
Dragon closes the distance and clinches up with Bur, looking for a takedown. Dragon pushes Bur against the cage but Bur circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bur drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dragon defends it well.
Bur fails with the takedown.
Dragon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A combination from Dragon does no damage.
Bur is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Dragon closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Bur lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bur is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Bur is trying to work for a kimura but Dragon is defending well.

Bur prevents Dragon from standing back up.

Dragon is defending against the submission attempts here by Bur.
Dragon is trying to stand up here but Bur is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bur is looking for a kimura here.
Dragon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Bur in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Dragon tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Bur!
