The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter lands with a cross.
Almeada looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Carter stalks Almeada and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Almeada's face. Almeada staggers backwards, shaken.
Carter closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Carter drops Almeada with a beautiful combination! Almeada stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Carter is looking for the KO!

It looks like Royce Almeada has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carter tries to bum rush Almeada with a series of wild strikes but Almeada uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stan Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carter throws a sloppy head kick and Almeada moves out of range easily.
Carter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The fighters circle momentarily. Carter darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Carter connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Almeada tumbling to the canvas! Carter pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Almeada was done - good stoppage!
