Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sasha Dulin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donovan Helm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Helm is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Live In My Element - By: DL Incognito. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sasha Dulin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donovan Helm!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dulin throws a body shot but no joy.
Helm tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dulin was well out of range. Poor timing from Helm.
Helm lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Helm throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Dulin.
Dulin avoids the head kick by Helm.
Helm tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dulin drops down looking for a counter takedown but Helm sprawls and moves away.
Helm lands a head kick. Dulin smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Dulin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Helm lunges at Dulin with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Dulin's hand.
Helm throws a head kick but Dulin moves out of range.
Helm tests Dulin's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Helm feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dulins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Helm lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Helm connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Dulin swings for the body but Helm moves out of range.
Helm closes the distance looking to clinch

and Dulin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dulin.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dulin postures up in Helm's guard and throws a big left but Helm blocks it.
Dulin throws a big right hand that misses.

Dulin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Dulin wants to control from the top but Helm keeps moving.

Helm working for a triangle but Dulin defends it easily.
Dulin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dulin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dulin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Helm is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Dulin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dulin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Helm tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Helm pulls Dulin in close to prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Helm cracks Dulin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Donovan Helm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dulin tries to clinch there but Helm circles away.
A head kick misses from Helm.
Helm with a hook.
Helm fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dulin on the side of the head.
Helm throws a big shot that misses.
Dulin appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
A punch lands to the side of Dulin 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Nice cross by Helm.
Dulin takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Helm throws a nice looking combination but Dulin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Oh Dulin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Helm lands with a right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Good standup being displayed there by Helm as he connects with a hook.
Helm misses with a head kick.
Dulin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Helm.
Dulin seems to have got his legs back now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Helm connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Dulin misses with a wild body shot.
Helm lands with a right hand.
Dulin dives in for a single leg takedown but Helm sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Helm might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Helm stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Donovan Helm is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Helm pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dulin tries to counter with a takedown but Helm is quick to defend against it.
Dulin shoots in looking for a takedown but Helm manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dulin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Helm looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Helm tests Dulin's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Helm scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Helm pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dulin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Helm.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Donovan Helm dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Helm's corner calls for a 1-2. Helm obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Helm throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dulin takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Dulin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Helm.
Helm defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dulin.
A punch lands to the side of Dulin 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Dulin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dulin there as he acknowledges the shot.
Helm lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Helm throws a sloppy head kick

and Dulin counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Helm!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dulin swings around for an armbar but Helm sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Dulin's guard.
Helm has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Dulin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Dulin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Helm keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Helm is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dulin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dulin's back!
Helm is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Dulin is trying to break free.
Helm lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Dulin.

Sasha Dulin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Helm is punishing Dulin with some ground and pound.
Helm cracks Dulin with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Dulin from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Dulin is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Dulin looking very determined here, making life difficult for Helm.
Helm doesn't have the hooks in and Dulin manages to turn into his guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dulin trying to control the position from guard on top but Helm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Helm looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dulin is one step ahead there.

Dulin trying to control but Helm is working from the bottom.
Helm wants to sweep here but Dulin controlling him for the moment.

Dulin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Helm looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Helm looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Helm!

Dulin tries to buck Helm off but Helm is having none of it.
Helm lands a nice forearm strike.
Helm is chipping away with strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Helm is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dulin has escaped the position, nice work there.
Dulin can't do much from the bottom here.
Helm trying to control the action but Dulin is working from the bottom.
Helm working the ground and pound.
Helm is staying tight to Dulin's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Dulin sneaks back into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Donovan Helm showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Helm closes the distance and clinches.
Dulin looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Helm managing to block the knees to the body from Dulin.

Helm breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dulin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Helm connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Donovan Helm seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Dulin gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Helm.

Helm gets a clinch.
Helm lands an elbow inside that Dulin shrugs off.


It looks like Sasha Dulin has been cut.
Helm lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Helm comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Dulin takes an elbow to the temple.
Helm has Dulin pressed against the cage. He pushes Dulin back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Helm throws a beautiful elbow that sends Dulin crashing to the floor! Helm piles on the pressure with more strikes! Dulin is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Donovan Helm!
A relieved looking Donovan Helm thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
