Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Randy Rhodes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Faber is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by California Love - Tupac. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Rhodes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Faber!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Faber closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Faber lands in his opponent's guard.

Faber has gone for a leg lock! Rhodes slips out almost immediately though and dives into Faber's guard.
Rhodes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Rhodes throws a big right hand that misses.
Rhodes trying to control but Faber is working from the bottom.
Rhodes connects with a couple of short punches.
Faber trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Rhodes loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Faber tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Faber fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Rhodes throws a head kick that misses.
Rhodes lands a head kick. Faber smiles back at him and beckons him forward.


It looks like Eddie Faber has been cut.

Rhodes looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Faber can't escape the position.
Rhodes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Faber tries to hold on but Rhodes pushes him away.

Rhodes has hold of Faber's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Faber manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Rhodes is breathing heavily.

Faber tries to lock up and control but Rhodes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Faber is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Rhodes is staying active.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Faber is looking for a sweep. Rhodes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Rhodes postures up in Faber's guard and throws a big left but Faber blocks it.
Faber not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rhodes throws a strike but Faber rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
