Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carter Avila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chance Hustle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chance Hustle will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avila fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Avila jumps guard and drags Hustle to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Avila is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hustle can do to turn this around?
Avila is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Avila will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Avila shoots in looking for a takedown. Hustle tries to sprawl out of it but Avila keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hustle manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Avila has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hustle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Avila is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Avila postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Hustle to stand up.
Avila misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Avila feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
