Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cheddar Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Domilis Radys (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cheddar Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Domilis Radys!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Radys rushes Bob and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bob tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Radys avoids it.
Bob connects with a nasty looking knee right to Radys's face.


It looks like Domilis Radys has been cut.
Bob creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Radys has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bob lands an elbow that stopped Radys in his tracks for a moment.
Bob is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Radys is defending well for now.

Radys thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bob's head.

Radys throwing shots but Bob is blocking nicely.
Bob is looking to control Radys's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bob avoid being mounted?
Bob on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bob tries to get out of the position.
Radys sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bob defending well though.

Radys is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bob trying to hold on to Radys's head to control him but Radys postures up.
Bob is trying to stand up here but Radys is controlling him well.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Bob thows a leg kick but Radys checks it
and Radys counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bob is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Bob shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Radys eats them both and turns towards Bob to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

and Radys counters with a three punch combo that has Bob backing up. Bob nods at Radys to acknowledge the strikes.
Bob is breathing heavily.
Bob scores with a jab to the body.
Radys tries for a takedown but Bob sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Cheddar Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Domilis Radys.

Radys throws a counter combo.
Cheddar Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Radys counters with a nice body kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Bob's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Radys will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Radys has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bob uses from the top position.

Radys dives in and grabs Bob's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bob pushes down on Radys's head and hops out.
A quick step to the side and Bob tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Bob feints and then cracks Radys's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Radys down.

Domilis Radys is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Radys takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bob looks to score with a jab to the body but Radys is just out of range.

Radys gets tackled into the cage by Bob. Bob maintains the clinch.

Bob is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Radys is defending well for now.

Radys successfully pulls guard.
Bob working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Radys's head.
Bob has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Radys had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bob defends it easily.

Bob stands up and waves to Radys to follow him.

Bob takes the fight into the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bob digs a right hand into Radys's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Radys's gas tank.

That's time! Bob's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Bob lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Radys at a distance.
Horrible takedown attempt by Radys or perhaps it was just good defense by Bob, which made it look bad.
Radys slips a straight right by Bob.
Bob swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bob throws a predictable looking body shot
and Radys counters with a left and a right that stings Bob.
That kick from Bob tenderised Radys's leg. Radys is trying to keep his angry face on.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bob enables Radys to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bob manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Radys is fighting to break Bob's control of his arms but Bob is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Radys takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Radys working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Bob avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Radys is pushing down on Bob's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bob is fighting to maintain full guard but Radys has managed to sneak the leg through.
Radys prevents Bob from standing back up.
Bob is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bob is refusing to be controlled, as Radys sits in half guard.

Radys is working for a submission of some sort.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Radys stops Bob from getting back to his feet.
Bob is not content to let Radys control the position.
Radys scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Bob manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Radys keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Radys prevents a body shot from Bob.
Radys has Bob pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bob manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bob tries to land knees in the clinch but Radys avoids the damage to the body.

Radys is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bob gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Cheddar Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Domilis Radys.
Bob is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Cheddar Bob is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Radys wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Radys goes for a takedown attempt but Bob pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bob connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Nice body punch from Bob.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bob is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Domilis Radys has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bob lands a good knee to the midsection. Radys won't want to take too many of those.

And that's the end of the fight!
Cheddar Bob showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bob, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
