PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nino Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by Yer Killin' Me- Remo Drive. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mr Steel was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nino Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Mr Steel!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Steel.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Brown.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Steel can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brown connects with a nice short shot to Steel's temple.

Steel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brown accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Brown is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Steel can do to turn this around?

Brown closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Brown is taking a breather. Steel says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A victorious Nino Brown thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
In defeat, Mr Steel stepped up to the mic, saying 'Shit. '.
