PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Cass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cass has chosen Ba'da boom Realist guy in the Room as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hammer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cass's guard.
Hammer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Cass bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hammer's guard.

Cass passes Hammer's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Hammer is refusing to be controlled, as Cass sits in half guard.
Cass working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Hammer's thigh. Hammer counters though and makes it back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cass slips nicely into half guard.
Hammer tries to roll over but Cass keeps him under control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cass content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Cass is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hammer wants to get back to full guard.
Hammer is refusing to be controlled, as Cass sits in half guard.
Cass moves nicely into side control.

Cass thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Cass tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Cass has hold of Hammer's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Hammer seems comfortable defending it but Cass has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hammer is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hammer is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Cass couldn't care less - he's delighted!
