Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikko Lindstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Gustav (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gustav has chosen D12 Fight Music as his entrance music. Lindstrom is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gustav feints and as Lindstrom raises his hands in defense, Gustav changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lindstrom is breathing heavily.
Gustav is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Gustav works over Lindstrom with some ground and pound from guard.
Gustav advances position into side control!
Gustav is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Lindstrom is trying to escape and Gustav transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Lindstrom is forced to tap! Nice work there by Gustav! Very nice indeed!
