Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Donny Duckovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Kopperman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chad Kopperman is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donny Duckovski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Kopperman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duckovski shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Kopperman is looking to control Duckovski's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kopperman avoid being mounted?
Duckovski stops Kopperman from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Duckovski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kopperman is just riding it out for now. Duckovski eventually gives up the hold.
Kopperman wants to control but Duckovski is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kopperman is trying to stand back up but Duckovski is controlling him
Duckovski trying to control from Kopperman's half guard. Kopperman has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Kopperman scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Chad Kopperman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duckovski is breathing heavily.
Duckovski fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Kopperman fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kopperman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Duckovski counters with a single leg into guard. Kopperman didn't expect that.

Kopperman has his feet on Duckovski's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Duckovski keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Kopperman darts in trying to clinch

and Duckovski counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kopperman won't be happy with that.

Kopperman tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Kopperman is trying to control Duckovski's posture but Duckovski avoids it.
Duckovski will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kopperman pushes Duckovski away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Duckovski gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Kopperman is looking for a sweep.
Kopperman is pushing Duckovski's head away, looking to escape. Duckovski manages to hold on to the position though.
Duckovski just content to control the position.
Kopperman can't do much from the bottom here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kopperman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Kopperman misses with a jab, cross combination.

Kopperman closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Kopperman wants the takedown. Duckovski is fighting it off but Kopperman persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Duckovski's guard against the cage.
Kopperman wants to control from the top but Duckovski keeps moving.

Duckovski isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kopperman stacks Duckovski on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kopperman!

Kopperman has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Duckovski has his takedown stuffed

so Kopperman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kopperman throws a big right hand that misses.

Duckovski uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
No luck for Kopperman with that takedown attempt.

Kopperman scores a takedown into full mount!
Kopperman landing strikes from the mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kopperman misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Chad Kopperman will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Kopperman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Chad Kopperman has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kopperman not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Duckovski gets full guard.
Kopperman working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Kopperman wants to control from the top but Duckovski keeps moving.

Kopperman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kopperman has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

and Duckovski counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kopperman!

Duckovski trying to mount his opponent but Kopperman defends it.
Duckovski working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Kopperman's thigh. Kopperman counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Duckovski wants to control from the top but Kopperman keeps moving.

Kopperman has his feet on Duckovski's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Kopperman tries to grapple but his opponent circles

so Duckovski counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kopperman manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kopperman prevents Duckovski from getting the reversal.

Kopperman is working for a guillotine from mount but Duckovski frees his head quite easily.
Duckovski is looking to improve his position but Kopperman isn't that keen on the idea.
Duckovski tries to hold on but Kopperman postures up.
Duckovski really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kopperman throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Duckovski gets back to half guard.
Duckovski is trying to control but can't.
Kopperman is tying to control. Duckovski wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kopperman tries to stand and escape but Duckovski is controlling the position.

Kopperman decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Kopperman tries to clinch but Duckovski moves away
and Duckovski connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Donny Duckovski will probably get the nod.
That's time! Duckovski's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Kopperman clinches but Duckovski breaks the clinch

and Duckovski counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kopperman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Duckovski drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kopperman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kopperman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kopperman!

Kopperman decides to stand up, so the ref orders Duckovski to his feet.
Kopperman misses with the body kick

and Duckovski counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Duckovski passes Kopperman's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kopperman moves into full guard.
Duckovski prevents Kopperman from getting back to his feet.

Duckovski trying to control but Kopperman is working from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kopperman.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kopperman tries to clinch up

and Duckovski holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Kopperman trying to stall but Duckovski improves his position.

Kopperman jumps guard.
Duckovski prevents Kopperman from getting back to his feet.
Duckovski tries to free his leg and advance position but Kopperman is retaining full guard.
Duckovski passes into half guard.
Kopperman wants to get back to his feet.
Duckovski works his way into full mount!

Kopperman defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Duckovski.

Duckovski has control of Kopperman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kopperman regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Kopperman tries to hold on but Duckovski pushes him away.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Duckovski goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kopperman turns into him and now he's in Duckovski's guard.

Kopperman stands up and waves to Duckovski to follow him.

and Kopperman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Duckovski's guard.

Duckovski throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kopperman uses it to pass to side control.
Duckovski is not content to let Kopperman control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Duckovski sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Donny Duckovski.
Well Duckovski has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
