Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don T. Bill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Daniel Williams!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bill walks into a jab.
Williams has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Bill.

Williams has managed to clinch.
A body shot lands from Bill.
Bill tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Williams's elbow.
Bill swings wildly with an uppercut but Williams uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bill stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Bill goes for a takedown attempt but Williams pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

The fighters circling - Bill throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Williams throws out a counter right but Bill avoids it with no problem.

Williams throws a solid leg kick but Bill takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Williams.

Bill swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Bill connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Williams's hands.

Williams throws out a powerful jab.

Bill waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Williams. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Williams to the canvas! Can he finish him!?


It looks like Daniel Williams has been cut.
Bill won't allow Williams to get back to his feet.
Bill keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Williams's head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd cheers as Williams lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bill doesn't seem phased though.

and Williams counters with a low kick, right behind Bill 's knee.
Williams uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bill.

Bill walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Bill throws a wild body kick that Williams sees coming a mile off.
The fighters circling - Williams throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bill lands a jab to the head.
Bill takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Williams fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bill on the side of the head.
Williams tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Williams has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Williams fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bill has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Bill jabs Williams to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Williams tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

The fighters circle momentarily. Williams darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Williams lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bill backwards.

Bill lands with a left to the head.
Bill tries for a takedown. No joy.

Bill tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Williams manages to break the clinch.

Bill shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bill showed some decent athleticism there.

Bill is trying to work for a kimura but Williams is defending well.

Williams manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Bill keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Williams lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Bill is looking to take this one to the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bill drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Williams gets the underhooks and prevents it.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Williams lunges at Bill with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bill's hand.
Williams bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bill's head backwards.

Williams lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Williams has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

and Williams counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Bill looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

and Williams counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Nice straight punches there by Williams. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Williams.

Williams explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Some bone on bone action there as Williams checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Bill takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Daniel Williams is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Williams cracks Bill with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Daniel Williams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Williams winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
