The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rankings shoots in but no luck this time.
Rankings shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sanders but Sanders pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Despite the aggression on Sanders's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Sloppy strikes from Rankings . Those never looked like landing.
Horrible takedown attempt by Rankings or perhaps it was just good defense by Sanders, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Rankings . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rankings plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Rankings tries for a takedown but Sanders sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rankings shoots in for a double leg but Sanders sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Sanders darts in looking for a takedown but Rankings gets double underhooks and turns Sanders into the cage.

Sanders tries to counter by closing the distance.
Rankings fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Rankings tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bob Rankings seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Sanders. Rankings shrugs it off though.
Rankings tries to clinch up but Sanders circles away and keeps his distance.
Rankings stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rankings wants it to stay on the feet.
Rankings misses with a body kick.
Sanders fails with a takedown attempt.
Sanders shoots in looking for a takedown. Rankings tries to sprawl out of it but Sanders keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rankings manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sanders gets caught napping as Rankings dives in and scores a takedown. Sanders manages to retain guard.

Sanders has his feet on Rankings 's thighs here. He's pushed Rankings off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Rankings screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
