The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chest misses with a series of wild punches.
Phillips lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Chest misses with a low kick.
Chest throws a head kick that misses.
Chest misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Phillips on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Chest. Chest obviously looking to wear him down.

Phillips stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Chest.
Chest throws a head kick but Phillips moves out of range.
Chest throws a half hearted mid kick.
Chest just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromPhillips.
Smelly Chest seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chest feints and then cracks Phillips's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Phillips down.
Phillips misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Phillips takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Roberto Phillips has been cut.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Phillips walks forward, straight into a front kick from Chest.
Chest looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Chest scores with a nice body kick.

Phillips pushes Chest up against the cage in a clinch.
Phillips really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Chest wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Chest.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Phillips decides to pull guard.
Phillips is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chest is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chest trying to control the position from guard on top but Phillips is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Phillips is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Chest got a little sloppy there for a moment and Phillips has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chest has managed to get both his arms back between Phillips's legs - danger averted.

Chest working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Phillips lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Phillips cracks Chest with a solid left hand.
Chest wants to sweep but no luck.
Phillips throwing strikes from guard but Chest blocks nicely.
Phillips works over Chest with some ground and pound from guard.
Phillips content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Phillips looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Chest looking to hit a scissor sweep but Phillips is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Phillips controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Phillips gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Smelly Chest is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Phillips steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Chest.
Chest thows a body kick. Phillips tries to catch it but that hurt him.
A combination from Chest does no damage.
Chest's coach down at Double XX was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Chest's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Chest tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Phillips stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Chest.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Chest tried to score with a low kick but Phillips checks it.
Chest fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Phillips.
Phillips misses with a head kick.
Smelly Chest seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Chest misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Phillips appears to be looking for a big counter.
Chest swings for the body but Phillips moves out of range.

Chest dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Phillips. That did some damage!

Chest circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Phillips drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Chest follows Phillips to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
