The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biante swats away the attempt to clinch by Gross.
Biante shoots in but Gross avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Biante clinches up against the cage.
Biante is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Biante manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice sprawl there from Gross as Biante shoots in.

Gross rushes Biante and presses him up against the cage.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Biante working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Gross is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Biante is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Gross to keep the fight standing.

Biante rolls with it to try and escape but Gross cranks on the arm and Biante is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
