Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Rand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Doze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doze is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: "Don't Trust Me" by 3Oh!3. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Danny Rand!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Doze!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rand shoots in but Doze avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rand shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Doze pinned against the cage. Doze gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Rand shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rand was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rand prevents Doze from getting the reversal.

Rand stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Rand looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Rand. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rand misses with a takedown attempt - Doze sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Doze rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rand moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rand shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Doze but Doze pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Rand bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Doze gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Doze is trying to get back to full guard.
Rand is keen to just control but Doze is a slippery customer.

Doze is looking to improve his position.
Doze wants to get back to his feet.

Rand stops Doze from getting back to his feet.
Rand prevents Doze from improving his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Doze clinches up with Rand and pushes him back against the ropes.
Doze tries to break the clinch but Rand is controlling the position.
Doze gets underhooks to prevent Rand's takedown attempt.
Doze wants to get back to striking at distance but Rand won't allow it.
Doze works on Rand's body with a couple of short punches.
Doze wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rand has him pressed against the ropes.

Doze breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rand shoots in but Doze avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rand is breathing heavily.

Rand drives through and clinches with Doze against the ropes.
Doze wants to stall.

Rand drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Doze is looking to stand up but Rand won't let him.

Doze avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Doze trying to control but Rand is working from the bottom.
Doze lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Rand had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Doze is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rand Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Doze's back instead.

Rand is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Doze defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Rand controlling the position well here. Doze rolled but Rand kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Doze prevents Rand from getting a body triangle.
Rand punches the canvas rather than the man.
Doze manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Rand is now in side control.

Rand stands up.

Rand changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Doze looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Rand closes this distance looking for a takedown but Doze circles away.
Rand keeps the fight on the outside.
Rand shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rand misses with a double jab

and Doze decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rand's guard.

Doze stands up and waves to Rand to follow him.
Doze tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rand swivels and escapes.

Doze drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Rand is looking to reverse the position.
Doze lands a decent elbow from side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rand is trying to get back to half guard.
Doze is breathing heavily.

Rand is working hard here to advance position.
Doze trying to control the position but Rand is working away.
Rand sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Rand is trying to maintain the position but Doze is very close to passing his half guard.
Doze wants to pass to mount but Rand is defending the position.
Doze wants to stand but Rand has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Rand fails with the takedown

and Doze counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rand's guard now.

Doze decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Rand closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Mark Doze has got the better of the ground game so far.
Doze tries to kick Rand off but Rand keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Doze wants to get back to his feet.
Doze is staying active underneath Rand, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Doze is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rand's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rand's back!
Doze connects with a couple of big shots that have Rand covering up! Oh, this looks bad for Rand! Doze fires away with several more unanswered shots and the referee has no choice but to step in! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
