The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denysuk wants to clinch.
Korhonen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Korhonen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Denysuk tries to clinch but Korhonen moves out of range.
Denysuk tries to close the distance and clinch up but Korhonen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Korhonen connects with the punch.
Denysuk doesn't manage to clinch there - Korhonen circles away.
Korhonen scores with the left hand. Denysuk knows he should have avoided that one.
Korhonen scores with a decent looking hook.
Korhonen lands a big uppercut and Denysuk crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Denysuk looks OK. Korhonen waves Denysuk back to his feet!
Denysuk is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Denysuk tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Korhonen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Oh Denysuk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Korhonen engages and cracks Denysuk with a massive lead left hook - Denysuk tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Korhonen is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Olavi Korhonen!
