PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Evan Graves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ashley Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Graves comes to the cage accompanied by Sex Robot. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ashley Vargas was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ashley Vargas!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Ben Watson and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargas shoots in looking for a takedown but Graves manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vargas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Vargas looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Vargas takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Graves connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Vargas momentarily.
Vargas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Graves.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Vargas.
Vargas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Graves dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Graves cracks Vargas with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Graves has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Vargas to stand back up!

Vargas is rocked!

It looks like Ashley Vargas has been cut.
Vargas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vargas leaves his chin hanging out and Graves seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Vargas crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
