The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bin Zayed darts in looking for a takedown but Maichuso gets double underhooks and turns Bin Zayed into the cage.
Maichuso drops down looking for a counter takedown but Bin Zayed sprawls and moves away.
Maichuso throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bin Zayed's waist but Bin Zayed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Maichuso off to one side.
Bin Zayed looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bin Zayed looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maichuso is fending him off so far but Bin Zayed persists. Nope, Maichuso circles away and we're back to standing.
Jose Maichuso has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Muhhamad Bin Zayed.
Maichuso shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bin Zayed as he jumps to the side.

Maichuso gets caught flat footed, as Bin Zayed shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Maichuso scrambles and gets back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bin Zayed misses with a takedown attempt - Maichuso sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Maichuso feinted with a counter takedown.

Bin Zayed drives through with a takedown into Maichuso's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Maichuso looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Maichuso not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Maichuso throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Maichuso isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bin Zayed stacks Maichuso on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bin Zayed!
Maichuso is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bin Zayed's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Maichuso could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bin Zayed is looking to take a break and control but Maichuso is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Maichuso wants to control but Bin Zayed is having none of it.

Bin Zayed really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Maichuso.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Maichuso is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
